Limited Edition Single
We wanted to do something a bit special for the cover, being that it's our first single.
The thing with first singles is, hardly anyone buys them, but the people who did can say "I was there at the beginning, I helped this band become what they are now" (whatever that might be).
Ages ago we had this idea to arrange the covers into a big square and paint across them, so that each single is a little piece of something bigger. The beauty of it is, that's essentially what you get when you buy an album/single, you buy a piece of the band. You're watering the plant, as it were.
You can see the video of the cover being painted here:

I'm gonna go and drink my fill,
gonna show these people what it means to be ill,
then I'll get it everywhere,
gonna get it on my knees and in my hair.
Gonna glue the light switches down,
'cos when you're drunk in the dark,
everything spins around,
I'll chuck some flour on you,
we like to antique the girls who look too new.
Ooh la la, this ain't fun no more,
Ooh la la, one more for the bathroom floor,
Ooh la la, when the sun means sorrow...
Spit up, and wait for tommorrow.
Don't quit if they tell you too,
The only things that are good are bad for you,
oh you know that i remember when,
my friend Sam Collier got raped in Dixie Chicken.
