The latest album from Leeds band "Hope and Social". It kicks ass. Check out the mad vocals in "Sleep Sound", the awesome guitar riff in "Rolling Sideways" and the calypso vibes in "Back to the Green". Rosie
The almighty Sam Collier music! Long time friends of Rosie, this is a collection of lovely original recordings. One day we will persuade him to give up his life of programming and record a full album. Rosie
The more I listen to this, the better it gets. The music is deep, wide and diverse; the phrasing and feel of the singing is refreshing, heartfelt and heartwarming; the lyrics are filled with hope anger and humour and most of all the occasional Yorkshire, flattened vowels are to die for.
This is home from home, to home. You need no other reason to be of Yorkshire, of, from and for Leeds. Tony Walker
They really sound like they're having a ball letting their creativity run wild here. Sometimes when I listen to it I just marvel and laugh at how brilliant this album is. The variety of collaborating artists makes for an eclectic sound indeed. (Seriously, Dress You Up sounds NOTHING like H&S - in a really good way.) At the same time H&S are definitely the glue that holds this thing together, meaning the overall sound is not only eclectic, but solid and cohesive. Amy S.
